Anne and Jon’s spring wedding was–in a word–breathtaking. Their wedding embodies everything we love about the classic-with-a-twist style: every moment was chic and elegant without feeling overly traditional. Plus, can we talk about their gorgeous color scheme? The palette of larkspur and ivory looked incredible in the natural country club setting and was complemented by pops of cobalt throughout the decor. The bride stunned in an ethereal lace wedding dresses with an elegant open back, and we loved that she brought a touch of sparkle to the look with a pair of strappy jeweled heels. The bridesmaids wore their Dessy dresses to perfection, and topped off the look with forget-me-not blue bouquets. We loved how the couple incorporated a multitude of fresh spring flora into their decor, from their hydrangea centerpieces to the rosemary-sprigs that adorned their place settings. The couple took full advantage of the gorgeous foliage the season had to offer, and their day was absolute springy perfection!
The Moment They Met: “We met as classmates at Harvard Business School’s Analytics program, which takes place in August before the first full school year begins. A group of new friends were gathering for dinner at a local restaurant, and when I arrived (late) one of the last open seats was next to Jon. We became fast friends, and stayed that way our whole first semester, until it turned into something more in early 2011.”
Favorite Wedding Moment: “Instead of a bouquet toss, we had an anniversary dance partway through the evening, where couples exited the dance-floor starting with the most recently wed. We had a ton of long-lasting marriages among our guests, but Jon’s parents, married for 51 years, won and the entire wedding gave them a standing ovation, on top of the bouquet. Jon’s dad was battling cancer, and it meant a great deal that he was there, and that he and his wife were able to have that special moment during our special day.”
